Authentic 1970's vintage Gunne Sax dress..
This dress wasn’t originally this color..
It was discolored from age..
Despite all my efforts to clean it..
I had thrown in into a box and given up..
Who would want it.all yellowed and aged..
But I decided to give it another try..
Another chance to be loved..
So I mixed up a special batch of dye..
And waited..and stirred..
Dying dresses is not easy..
I’m not terribly good at it..
It takes a lot of time..
But I love the waiting..waiting to see what will happen..
And wow…the color came out so good!
A little splotchy in places where the discoloration was severe..but barely noticeable..
A beautiful dusty iris purple voile..
The floral net lace and satin ribbon..
All gorgeous, the way it took the dye!
Bridal pearl button bust..
High back collar..
Lace overlay on the bodice..
The sleeves are outrageous..
Puff shoulders with huge balloons and little gathered button cuffs..
Waist ties for a perfect silhouette..
Long full maxi length skirt with a front lace apron panel and a pretty bottom ruffle...
Lined with acetate..
Zips up the back..
I really hope someone will love her..

Very good condition..has a few repairs and picks in the voile..the dress has been hand dyed and should be washed separately..has some slight splotchiness where the discoloration was severe..
