I love a good Peter Pan collar and this dress was about 2 inches away from being mine!
But alas, too tight in the bust..
So I pass this darling beauty on to you..
It belonged to a Miss Allencastre..
I would love to know where she wore it..
Theres no tags aside from her little handwritten name tag..
Secured to the lining with 4 old rusty staples..
Did her mother make this dress or perhaps it was by her own hand..
The fabric is a rich dark green..Girl Scout green perhaps..a rayon or poly crepe..
Gorgeous ivory satin collar with antique style scalloped net lace edging..
Tailored bodice with a button and loop at the neck..
Gathers at the shoulder with a slim sleeve and button cuff..
Empire waist with waist ties for a perfect silhouette..
Floor length skirt..
Zips up the back..
Bodice is lined, skirt is not.
Very good condition..has a scissor snip at the back shoulder and a vampire bite at the back hip..could be mended or left as is..some discoloration to the satin collar..
